Qualification:

This qualification has been designed in response to an identified industry need for specific programmes of learning addressing new technological developments, for example stain resistant and fire resistant treatments. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

• The legal requirements of employers and employees with regard to health, safety and employment law in the textile sector
• The fibres, yarns and materials used in technical textile materials/ products across a range of technical textile sectors
• The technical aspects of all major textile manufacturing processes
