This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry, providers and Lantra for those learners working in arboriculture. It encourages learners to follow a programme of structured continuing professional development, facilitates access to higher-level management qualifications, and improves job prospects by formalising professional skills and training. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:
Optional units include: Tree Development and Protection, Tree Related Damage to Built Structures, Principles of Woodland Establishment, and more.
Learners who achieve these qualifications could progress to other higher level qualifications such as the ABC Awards Level 6 Certificate or Diploma in Arboriculture, gain promotion to a more senior position within existing employment, or begin entrepreneurial activities such as starting one’s own business.
