The Reading and Writing Award is designed to develop the learners ability to read and write in the target language. The Award is divided into three units that support reception Unit 1 – Reading, production Unit 2 – Listening and communication in writing Unit 3 – Reading and Written Response. On successful completion of this qualification, learners will be acquainted with the conventions of the script and its phonetic system.
Learners could apply their language acquisition within a vocational context such as the leisure and tourism industry or may progress on to further study of the language.
