Qualification:

This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry, providers and Lantra. It will enable learners to gain appropriate skills and knowledge to progress to higher levels of learning or to employment in the animal care sector.

Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

• How to maintain the health and well-being of animals, including identification of abnormal signs, monitoring, and maintaining accurate record
• Optional units include: Prepare and Groom Animals, Contribute to the Evaluation and Implementation of Basic Animal Training Programmes, Train Animals through Basic Training Programmes
