Qualification:

This qualification has been specifically devised to provide learners with an introduction to developing personal creativity in an area of art, design or craft. Centres may specialise in one or more areas, and qualifications can stand-alone or be used to enrich current curriculums. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

• How to apply research techniques into contemporary, historical and cultural contexts and record activities
• How to use tools and equipment in a range of materials and skills
• How to recognise and apply visual language and formal elements within production techniques
• How to work on a brief in art and design.
