The Award in Signing and Receiving Skills in British Sign Language is designed to develop learners’ ability to communicate in the British Sign Language. The Award is divided into three units to support production Unit 1 – Signing, reception Unit 2 – Receiving, and the combination of the two afore mentioned skills Unit 3 – Conversation. On successful completion of this qualification, learners will also become aware of key convention of British Sign Language and Deaf Culture.
Learners can progress onto further learning, such as the Level 3 Award British Sign Language qualification.
