This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry, providers and Lantra. It develops practical skills, promotes sound working practices, and provides essential industry knowledge to help learners to progress into higher levels of learning or into sustainable employment in the land based sector. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following available units, including:
Learners could progress on to the Level 2 Certificate in Practical Animal Care Skills or the Level 3 Award/Certificate in Practical Animal Care Skills. Alternatively, learners could progress onto the Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Work-Based Animal Care into employment, or gain promotion to a more senior position within existing employment.
