Qualification:

This qualification has been developed for learners seeking a specialised qualification in animal nursing. The qualification is held in high regard in veterinary practices. It develops practical skills in animal care and management, while offering additional opportunities to hone customer service skills in a retail environment. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

• Principles of basic animal nursing assistance, including first aid, wound identification, and recording an animals temperature, pulse and respiration
• Optional units include: Principles of Companion Animal Pharmacy, Exotic Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Principles of Companion Animal Anaesthesia and Fluid Therapy, and more.
