This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry, providers and Lantra to provide a practical introduction to the countryside sector and support engagement, participation, achievement and progression for learners at Entry Level and Level 1. It offers important industry insight to help learners to make informed career decisions. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following available units,including:
Learners who complete this qualification can progress to the ABC Level 1 Awards/Certificates/Diplomas in Practical Countryside Skills. On completion of the Level 1 qualifications, learners may wish to broaden their learning and undertake Work-Based Horticulture qualifications once in employment to gain a promotion to a more senior position within existing employment or progress into an Apprenticeship in the sector.
